Lead Glass
Our radiation-protective Lead Glass combines high lead-oxide (PbO) content with crystal-clear transparency, delivering reliable shielding against X-rays and gamma rays while maintaining excellent visibility for safe observation.
Key Features
- High PbO content for superior density and effective attenuation of ionizing radiation.
- Optically clear—safe visual monitoring without compromising protection.
- Discoloration resistant to UV, X-rays, gamma rays, common cleaning chemicals, and smoke.
- Flexible thickness options to match required protection levels; large panel sizes available (up to 2400 × 1200 mm).
- Standards compliant with NCRP Report No. 49 and ASTM C1036 for flat glass.
ZF-Series Options
- ZF3 Lead Glass — Low-fluorescence formula (~45–50% PbO) designed to minimize color shift during prolonged exposure; ideal for medical imaging suites, nuclear facilities, and research labs.
- ZF7 Lead Glass — Higher density and lead equivalence for advanced shielding requirements while retaining clear view.
Applications
- Healthcare: X-ray rooms, CT viewing windows, fluoroscopy and procedure room observation panels.
- Industrial: Airport/security scanners, NDT/inspection lines, and radiation test enclosures.
- Scientific & Nuclear: Lab partitions and control-room windows requiring clear, durable shielding.
